Foodstamp Chef was born as the direct result of politicians and celebrity chefs that pull the stunt of saying “I am going to live on a foodstamp budget for a week” and then generally nothing else comes of it. ‘Why?’ you may ask, well when they find out how little they can actually buy on foodstamp one can only assume that they said “Screw That!” because we never hear the outcome. In the interim, many of us still have to make those food dollars stretch while those egotistical twits go back to eating things like $8 a pint ice cream and truffles rooted out by a single pig in Germany.
For years I complained about it until someone said to me ‘Instead of bitching, do something about it!’. And here it is, a site that not only has recipes but meal shortcuts, couponing, equipping your kitchen and general money saving tips. So, feel free to utilize anything on this site, hope you save a ton of money and maybe have a few laughs along the way.

Tactikal Tacos
Famous Mac and Cheese
Ingredients:
3 3/4 cup of water
2 1/2 cups elbow pasta
1/2 Tablespoon Salt
1 Tablespoon garlic powder
2 Tablespoons Oil
8 slices of American Cheese
2 cups of Shredded cheddar
8 Ounces cream cheese
1 1/2 cups of Whole Milk
Directions:
Put the water in a pot and add in the salt, oil, garlic powder, and pasta. Give it a stir and set it to boil until the water is almost gone.
Cube up your American cheese and cream cheese and add it to a bowl with the shredded cheese. Mix with a spoon to combine them uniformly.
Add the cheeses to the pot of cooked macaroni and mix them well together so the steam can melt the cheeses uniformly. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes with the heat off to melt all the way.
Add the milk and mix until nice and creamy. Serve immediately and enjoy
